Album Tracker ( ) will help you catalog all your CDís records and tapes with 14 different fields including Title, Artist, Category, Value, Copyright Date, Length, Producer, Rating, Condition, Location, Label, and Media. Also included, are two custom fields that you can use for whatever information you like as well as the Librarian fields 'Lent to' and 'Date Lent'. Album Tracker has a simple, easy-to-use interface that not only makes it easy to enter information, but also makes it easy to browse, sort, and print reports on the information you have entered. There are sections to enter your own Notes on the album as well as list the Songs. A 'Find' button is also available, which enables you to search for information as your database of albums grows.

KeyNote Music Drills ( ) is designed to help music students learn to identify the notes of the bass clef, treble clef, and grand staff, and to locate their positions on the keyboard or guitar and bass guitar fingerboard. There are additional drills for the alto and tenor clefs, bass guitar, and key signature. Options include timed drills, set drill item count, Test Mode to record score and times, Top 10 Best Scores for all drills, file support for individual score statistics, visual feedback for elapsed time via progress indicator, and sound playback (registered version only).

MicroChart/32 ( ) was originally developed as a DOS graphics program in 1983 by Keith Higaki during his teaching assignment at the University of Hawaii and from the very beginning has been used to design and chart the halftime shows of the University of Hawaii "Rainbow" Marching Band and the Hula Bowl All-Star Halftime Pageantry. Since most other early marching band drill design programs were for the Apple (then IIe) computers, MicroChart was one of the first program of it's kind for the DOS/IBM PC platform. A Windows version was released in 1991 which included several major enhancements that took advantage of the new graphical environment.

Standard Notation Programs

Muse ( ) is a music editor which shows you the music in standard notation, tablature or the ABC folk music notation. Up to 8 parts with different instruments play simultaneously. At the bottom of the screen are the symbols you need. Click on the symbol and the mouse pointer turns into that symbol. Click on the staff to drop the symbol into place. The computer plays back what you have written. Guitar chords can be written by name (e.g. Em7) and they play too. Muse can transpose music into new keys. It automatically inserts bar lines, spills the music onto new lines keeping bars together (like a word processor spills words) and inserts a clef and key signature at the start of each line. Muse supports all four clefs: treble, alto, tenor and bass. Any part can have any clef and you can change clef within a part.

NoteWorthy Composer ( ) is a software music composition and notation processor for Windows. It allows you to create, record, edit, print, and play back your own musical scores. Write your own songs, or transcribe existing songs, using the notation editor. The editor allows you to create notation in a manner similar to writing a document in a word processor. Add parts (staves), notes, text, lyrics, and symbols directly from the editor. Songs can be played back via your computer's sound card, or to external MIDI setups. Although there are many other capable notation packages for Macs and PCs, few can match Finale's sheer number of features, its versatility, and its printed-output quality.

Personal Composer for Windows ( ) is a full-featured program that is used by musicians and composers around the world. It is used to write music for publication and electronic music production. A DOS version of Personal Composer was demonstrated at the first MIDI NationalAssociation of Music Merchants trade show, at Chicago, in June 1983. Personal Composer for Windows was first released in 1994. Personal Composer for Windows runs under Microsoft Windows 3.1, Win95, Win98, or WinNT. It is compatible with Microsoft's multimedia standard for recording and multi-port playback, and supports popular soundboards. It will analyze and transcribe input from any MIDI instrument and reads Standard MIDI files. Personal Composer is distributed in three levels: 8-staff, 16-staff, and 44-staff. The two lower levels have other limitations relative to the features in the 44-staff program.
